Diego Forlan is trying to ignore press speculation over his future with Atletico Madrid.
It has been suggested that a host of clubs from across Europe, including a number from England, are weighing up a New Year raid for his services.
"They are always talking. It started a couple of years ago and maybe then you start thinking where am I going to go, but they are just rumours," Forlan told Sky Sports News after picking up the Golden Ball, an award recognising him as the best player at the 2010 World Cup.
"I see the news, as everyone else sees the news, but I am trying not to think about it."
