Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is prepared to use Fernando Gago as a bargaining chip for Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
Mourinho is now ready to push through a deal for Adebayor after it emerged Real would be signing Santos star Neymar in January.
Sport says Mourinho hopes to drive down City's asking price by including Gago in their offer.
Real are willing to pay €10 million for Adebayor, while City are insisting on €16 million.
