Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp feels David Bentley struggled to handle the White Hart Lane boo-boys.

Last night he was on his way to Birmingham after a loan deal was agreed and he will complete the deal after a medical over the weekend.

Redknapp suggested the fans? reaction had not helped Bentley. He said: "David?s got fantastic talent and great ability.

"I played him against Arsenal, he?d been injured, came back and played his first game and did well, but the crowd was on him a bit. They were waiting for him to make a mistake and it?s not easy when you play like that.

"He was low after the game. He was disappointed and I thought, 'Maybe it?s time for him to move on'.

"He could go somewhere else and then do great."
