Celtic assistant Johan Mjallby believes new signing Victor Wanyama has plenty of similarities to Chelsea great Marcel Desailly and Tottenham defender William Gallas.
The Hoops finally completed the capture of the 20-year old Kenya international from Belgian club Germinal Beerschot on the weekend and Mjallby can see him making his home in central defence even though he has played most of his football in midfield.
"I have seen flashes of him on video but haven't yet seen him live,? the Swede said.
"He looks a talented and strong boy. He's good on the ball and has this wee stroll about him, like a young Gallas or Desailly.
"Right now, he looks more to us like a central defender but he's versatile and the good thing is if we want to change the game we have options."
