Benfica vs. Manchester United: Results, Scores, Updates and More

Manchester United is rolling right now. They are looking near unbeatable, and they are getting better with every match. They have outscored their last three opponents (all in EPL play) 13-3. The Red Devils appear unstoppable. They were slowed by injuries at the start of their EPL campaign, but they were still pulling out wins. Now they are getting healthy and rolling.

They will take this play to the Champions League in a match against Benfica. Benfica has also been playing fantastic soccer. They have beaten their last three opponents by a score of 8-2. However, it is fair to say that these opponents have not been anywhere near the caliber of Man U.

This match is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14th at 2:45 p.m. Eastern Time at Estádio da Luz in Lisbon.

If Benfica is going to have any shot in this match, they are going to have to find a way to stop Wayne Rooney and that is much easier said than done.

Wayne Rooney is playing the best soccer of his fabulous career. He has been an absolute machine for both Man U and England. In his last four matches he has had seven goals. It will take a complete team effort to slow him down.

It will also take yeoman's work from Benfica keeper Artur. He has been having a solid year in goal, but he is going to be severely tested in this one.

This should be a fun, well played and exciting match. Check this blog often as we update and comment on all news and results surrounding this match.
